Provided is a pneumatic tire capable of ensuring good wet performance and capable of reducing air-column resonance caused by circumference-direction grooves (21). This pneumatic tire comprises a tread section (1), a side wall section (2), and a bead section (3). A plurality of circumference-direction grooves (21) are provided in the tread section (1) in the tire circumferential direction. A belt-shaped sound-absorbing material (6) is adhered to an area corresponding to the tread section (1) in the tire inner surface, along the tire circumferential direction and via an adhesive layer (5). The width (W) of the sound-absorbing material (6) is 70%-95% of the tire ground-contact width (TCW) and the total width for the circumference-direction grooves (21) included inside an arrangement area for the sound-absorbing material (6) in the tire width direction is 25%-40% of the width (W) of the sound-absorbing material (6).
