The invention relates to a friction clutch which comprises an actuation device, as well as a pressure plate, a counter pressure plate and a clutch cover, a clutch disc being able to be accommodated between the pressure plate and the counter pressure plate, the pressure plate having an annular design. The actuation device comprises a ramp device between the pressure plate and the clutch cover for the purpose of axially displacing said pressure plate. The actuation device further has an actuator for rotating the pressure plate in the peripheral direction relative to the clutch cover, said clutch cover comprising a carrier element such that the actuator is supported radially inwards or outwards on the carrier element, and radially outwards or inwards on the pressure plate.
