The present invention provides an apparatus for repelling harmful animals, including: a post which is vertically installed on a installation place and includes a rain water storage part arranged in the bottom to store rain water; an approach sensor which is installed on one side of the post and senses an approach of the harmful animals; a lighting part having a light emitting diode which is joined with the approach sensor, is installed on one side of the post, receives a sensing signal from the approach sensor, and emits light; a water spraying means which is joined with the approach sensor, is installed on the post, receives the sensing signal from the approach sensor, and sprays rain water, stored in the rain water storage part, out of the post; and a solar cell module which is installed on one side of the post and supplies electric energy to the approach sensor, the lighting part, and the water spraying means after collecting solar energy and converting the solar energy into electric energy. When harmful animals approach close to the post of the apparatus, the approach sensor senses the harmful animals and transmits the signal to the lighting part and the water spraying means. Accordingly, the lighting part emits light, and the water spraying means sprays the rain water, stored in the rain water storage part in the post, out of the post toward the outside. Consequently, the apparatus can stably repel the harmful animals approaching the post.
