The present invention relates to a composition for anti-inflammation or skin whitening. A stevenleaf according to the present invention has an anti-inflammation effect by controlling generation of nitrogen oxide (NO), and a skin whitening effect by reducing total amount of melanin, thereby being used as a pharmaceutical composition and a cosmetic composition.
