The present invention relates to a method for screening embryogenesis promoters. The method includes the steps of: (a) measuring the expression level of the spliced X-box binding protein-1 (sXBP-1) or C/EBP-homologous protein (CHOP) in separated embryonic cells; (b) administering candidate agents for promoting embryogenesis; and (c) checking whether the expression level of the sXBP-1 or CHOP is lower than that in the step (a). The present invention also relates to the embryogenesis promoters screened by using the method.
