PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device configured to perform image processing on a superimposed image, while preventing reduction in visibility of content acquired externally.SOLUTION: A television device (10, 11) includes: a video decoding section (111) which draws a frame image constituting a moving image; an HTML browser (106) which draws an object constituting a Web content acquired externally; a drawing area specifying section (119, 119a) for specifying a drawing area where the object is drawn; and a video processing section (121) for performing image processing on an area of a superimposed image, other than an area with the drawing area superimposed thereon.
