PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery capable of obtaining the laser welding strength by securing the welding margin of a predetermined length even if a cover plate has a thin wall thickness.SOLUTION: Since a peripheral edge of a cover plate is equipped with a frame piece orthogonal to a cover plate plane, even if the thickness of the cover plate is made thin and a sealed battery is made light-weighted, rigidity is obtained which is hard to be curved outward due to inner pressure, and since an outer shape of the covered plate is highly accurately maintained without being curved when the cover plate is fitted to an opening of a case body, fitting to an opening can be firmly made. Since the cover plate is firmly fitted to the opening and is laser-welded with the sufficient long welding margin between an inner wall surface of the opening and a frame piece, the cover plate is firmly fixed to the case body without space. |
