PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a uniform charging distribution in a rotation axis direction of a fixing member, to prevent image defect.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus includes a fixing member 26 which rotates around a rotation axis; and a separation member 28 which separates a sheet passing through a fixing nip from the fixing member 26. The fixing member 26 includes a paper-passing area 35. The paper-passing area 35 includes a first paper-passing section 37, and a second paper-passing section 38 to be charged with more electric charges than the first paper-passing section 37. The separation member 28 includes a separation plate 42. The separation plate 42 includes a surface part 58 facing a conveyance path of the sheet, and a rear surface part 59 arranged on the back side of the surface part 58. The rear surface part 59 includes a coating region 70. The coating region 70 includes: a first coating section 71 which overlaps the first paper-passing section 37 in a position in a rotation axis direction; and a second coating section 72 which overlaps the second paper-passing section 38 in a position in a rotation axis direction, and is narrower than the first coating section 71. |
