PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide multi-core fiber capable of reducing crosstalk between cores while preventing the outer diameter of the multi-core fiber from increasing.SOLUTION: Multi-core fiber 1 includes a plurality of cores 11 and a clad surrounding the plurality of cores 11. The plurality of cores 11 are arranged on a straight line LN passing through the center C1 of the clad, lying next to each other, and including a set of cores 11A and 11B whose core diameters D11 and D21 in a first direction in which the plurality of cores 11 are arranged on the straight line are different. The ratio of the core diameters D11 and D21 in the first direction of the relevant set of cores is different from that of the core diameters D12 and D22 in the second direction orthogonal to the first direction. |
