The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for providing a user intention expression service in a communication system. The method in a server may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a gateway connected to a contents server, a message requesting a user intention expression from a terminal of a user viewing contents; determining whether the user terminal prefers to receive the message requesting the user intention expression; if the user terminal prefers to receive the message requesting the user intention expression, delivering, to the user terminal, the message requesting the user intention expression; and receiving, from the user terminal, the message including user intention expression information and delivering the message to the gateway. |
