The present invention relates to a power changing apparatus for a power supply, and more specifically, to a power changing apparatus that minimizes a fire risk while changing power. The power changing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention receives power on a first side, changes power using an electric induction coil, and supplies changed power to a second side. The power changing apparatus comprises: a first temperature sensor to measure a temperature of the coil and generate a first measured temperature therefrom; a power shutoff switch to allow external power received from the first side to reach the coil, or shut off external power; a power line control unit to control the power shutoff switch to prevent external power received from the first side from reaching the coil if the first measured temperature is higher or equal to a first prescribed reference temperature.
