A process for processing of perfluoropolymer materials comprises: i) mixing and optional porogen and dissolved uncured perfluoropolymer in perfluorinated solvent, ii) applying the mixture to a substrate to at least partially coat it, iii) removing the solvent by applying energy, iv) curing the perfluoropolymer, and v) optionally removing any porogen. Typically the perfluoropolymer can be polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyhexafluoropropylene (PHFP), perfluoroalkylvinyl ethers (PAVE). The materials thus produced can be used in medical devices. |
