<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a focus detection which does not depend on a luminance distribution on an image plane. <P>SOLUTION: When the focus detection is performed with an exposure suitable for recording, a focus detection accuracy may degrades because of an output saturation (C1) of focus detection pixel data. An image deviation amount detection operation is performed based on the focus detection pixel data read out by performing an exposure control of an image sensor with an under-exposure level compared to the exposure suitable for recording, and a defocus amount is calculated. The output saturation of the focus detection pixel data is avoided by means of the under-exposure level compared to the exposure suitable for recording (C2), and the focus detection accuracy does not degrade. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
