PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power storage device for a DC electric railway that suppresses the absorption of electromotive power which is not regenerative electric power early in the morning or at night, and suppress the regeneration lapse of a travel electric vehicle.SOLUTION: A charging reference voltage Vis raised as an electromotive voltage Vrises when no electric vehicle is present early in the morning or at night or when an electric vehicle is present and there is no regenerative current. On the other hand, when the electric vehicle is present and a regenerative current is generated from the electric vehicle in the morning or at night, the charging reference voltage Vis set according to a distance between the electric power storage device and the electric vehicle and the regenerative current. |
