<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate with less generation of crack in a transparent electrode layer which generates starting from a gap generated on a part where corner parts of colored pixels arranged in a delta array are gathered together. <P>SOLUTION: A color filter substrate is manufactured by forming a black matrix and colored pixel layers 3, 4 and 5 arranged in a delta array by photolithography on a substrate and then by laminating a transparent electrode layer. The color filter substrate is characterized in that a gap part 7 generated in a region where corner parts of colored pixels are adjacent is filled with photosensitive resin cured products 10 and 11.
