The obstacle (1) has an unit that is rectilinearly movable between a rest position and a working position, where the unit has a flexible cover (3) and a restoring unit for restoring the cover in the rest position. The unit is pneumatically actuated. A guide is provided with a sliding cylinder and a sliding portion. The guide is formed at a top-sided end and at a bottom-side end with stoppers for the unit. The cover is mounted to the sliding cylinder over the sliding portion in a sliding manner. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a driving training device with a magnetic valve; and (2) a method for deploying a spontaneously appearing and solid looking object on a roadway with a driving training device.
