Electrical machine with improved cooling

The present invention relates to an electrical machine, and more in particular it relates to a component thereof. At air cooled generators, all incidental losses have to be transferred via convection to the cooling air. To ensure that a volume flow can circulate through the machine cooling ducts are needed. In the stacked parts of the machine the ducts are generally created by distance pieces between the sheet metals. According to the present invention the aforementioned distance pieces are replaced by deformed sheet metals.
