According to an exemplary embodiment, there is provided a light emitting device (110) including a ceramic substrate (10), first to fourth connectors (48a, 48b, 48c, and 48d), a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements (20), and a first metal layer (11). The ceramic substrate (10) is provided with a first main surface (10a) including first to fourth sides (10c, 10d, 10e, and 10f) and first to fourth corner portions (10g, 10h, 10i, and 10j). The first main surface (10a) further includes a mounting region (16), a first connector region (10k) provided between the mounting region (16) and the first corner portion (10g), a second connector region (10l) provided between the second corner portion (10h) and the mounting region (16), a third connector region (10m) provided between the third corner portion (10i) and the mounting region (16), and a fourth connector region (10n) provided between the fourth corner portion (10j) and the mounting region (16). The plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements (20) are provided on the mounting region (16). The first to fourth connectors (48a, 48b, 48c, and 48d) are respectively provided on the first to fourth connector regions (10k, 10l, 10m, and 10n). The first metal layer (11) is provided between the plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements (20) and the ceramic substrate (10), and includes first to fourth connector electrode portions (47a, 47b, 47c, and 47d) which are respectively electrically connected to the first to fourth connectors (48a, 48b, 48c, and 48d). |
