A cylinder block P is delivered by a roller conveyer, such as is described in Specification 788,892, on to locating stops 6<SP>1</SP>, 6<SP>2</SP>, 63 on the L- shaped bracket 6. When in position, a fluid-pressure device 5, connected to a rack 12 engaging a gearsegment 11 on a shaft 10, is activated. The shaft 10 carries another gear segment 9 engaging a segment 8, which causes rotation of the bracket 6 to the position shown. The segment 9 then engages a stop 14<SP>1</SP>, and a recess in the shaft 10 rotates clear of a fixed member 17 to permit the bracket 6 to move upwardly. |
