<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enters the game ball to the second start pocket more easily than the first start pocket. <P>SOLUTION: The second start pocket 122 is disposed below the lower part of the playfield 111, and the jackpot pocket 125 is disposed below the lower end portion 114a of an image display part 114 and at the right side of the second start pocket 122. The machine includes: a ball entry pocket 125a in which a game ball enters; and the retractable member 125c which shifts to and from the projected state and the retracted state to guide balls to the second start pocket 122 in the projected state. The projected state does not permit the balls to enter the ball entry pocket 125a by retractable member projected forward of the game board 110a, and the retracted state permits the balls to enter the ball entry pocket 125a by retractable member retracted from the game board 110a. The gate 124 is disposed below the lower end portion 114a of the image display part 114 and at just above the jackpot pocket 125.
