Method, arrangement and system for the determination of process magnitudes

Method for determining process variables has a number of steps. Accordingly multiple intensities are captured and determined by detectors. Said intensities are derived from different spectral ranges of the measurement process and formed together in an intensity vector. A normalized vector is calculated from the intensity vector that is smaller than a given threshold. The individual intensity vectors are then normalized and are processed in a vector quantizer (58). Lastly code-book vectors are read out from the quantizer. The invention also relates to a corresponding system and arrangement for implementation of the method.
