<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a heat-retention performance by making a liquid container part of an electric kettle into a vacuum double container, and to appropriately detect boiling as well. <P>SOLUTION: The electric kettle includes: a water heater body provided with a liquid container and a liquid container heating means; and a power supply base on which the water heater body is freely detachably mounted, and which supplies power to the heating means of the water heater body in the mounted state. The liquid container comprises the container in the vacuum double wall structure of an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder, a temperature detection means for boiling detection is provided on an inner cylinder opening edge part at the upper part of the container and/or the joint part of the inner cylinder opening edge part and an outer cylinder opening edge part, and thus, boiling is detected with high responsiveness while improving the heat-retention performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
