<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique in which wireless connection between a printer 10 and an AP 50 is appropriately established when an SSID of the AP 50 is changed. <P>SOLUTION: When a wireless connection WC 1 is established, a printer 10 stores a BSSID "MAC 50" of an AP 50 in a memory. Resulting from the fact that an SSID "ABC" of the AP 50 is changed to an SSID "GHI", the printer 10 receives two Probe Responses from the AP 50 and an AP 70 when the wireless connection WC 1 is disconnected. The printer 10 identifies the Probe Response including the BSSID "MAC 50" from two Probe Responses, using the BSSID "MAC 50" in the memory.
