<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a sharp weight reduction of a vehicle body structure and prevention of action of large load on a vehicle body (occurrence of stress concentration) by minimizing the number of metal members required for each of part mounting portions when most portions of the vehicle body are structured of a fiber-reinforced composite material. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure is made of the fiber-reinforced composite material for a part or the whole of the vehicle body constructed by joining an upper vehicle body 2 and a lower vehicle body 3. In this vehicle body structure, the metal members 7, 7r, 8, 8r are inserted into each of the upper vehicle body 2 and the lower vehicle body 3, and the metal members 7, 7r, 8, 8r are fastened to each other, so that joint portions are formed.
