<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain polyimide derivatives of a polyamide imide (PAI), a polyester imide (PEI), and a polyester amide imide (PEAI), having improved mechanical strength and heat resistance, by a process different from polycondensation.SOLUTION: The PAI is obtained by subjecting (A) a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and (B) a bis or tris type 2-substituted-2-n membered ring amidine compound (n=5-6) to a polyaddition reaction. Further, the PEI is obtained by subjecting the compound (A) and (C) a bis or tris type 2-substituted-2-n membered ring iminoether compound (n=5-6) to a polyaddition reaction. In the polyaddition reaction, a low-molecular weight compound such as water does not break away or volatilize. Thereby, the polyimide derivatives free from molding defects such as voids and surface roughness and having excellent mechanical strength and heat resistance can be produced.</p> |
