1. An article (1) for use in a hot and corrosive medium, where at least a section of an external surface of the article (1) is coated with an oxidation and/or corrosion resistant coating comprising Al and/or Cr, characterised in that the article comprises:
- a first external surface section (5, 11) with a first Al and/or Cr containing coating applied by means of chemical vapour deposition, and
- a second external surface section (15) with a second Al and/or Cr containing coating applied by means of a spray process.
