摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fine composite oxide which is excellent in cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: The method for producing a composite oxide includes LiMnOas basic composition, 1-30 atom% of the Mn being substituted with at least one kind of substitution element selected from metallic elements except Li and Mn. In the method, the composite oxide is gained through the following processes: a raw material mixture-preparing process in which a metallic compound raw material; which contains Mn, the substitution element and at least one kind of metallic compound selected from an oxide, a hydroxide and a metallic salt; and a fused salt raw material which contains lithium hydroxide and/or lithium nitrate, the lithium content being over the theoretical composition of the lithium contained in the target composite oxide; are mixed together to prepare a raw material mixture; a fusion reaction process in which the raw material mixture is fused to react at least at the melting point of the fused salt raw material; and a recovery process in which the composite oxide generated from the raw material mixture posterior to the reaction is recovered.
