<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic carrier, an electrophotographic carrier and developer which prevent carrier deposition on a solid image portion occurring with the passing of time on developer and which are excellent in resistance to solidification and color contamination. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an electrophotographic carrier comprises at least a core material and a coating material layer formed on the surface of the core material. The method includes a process for coating the core material with the coating material and a calcination process for heat-treating a coated material.
