<p>The apparatus 10 is configured to be located between a panel of insulating material and an existing soffit. The apparatus comprises, in use, an inverted U shaped channel, adapted to engage the insulation A, the channel comprising front (12, Figure 4) and rear (14, Figure 4) legs and an intermediate bridging member (16, Figure 4). A ventilation device is mounted on top of the intermediate portion, preferably adjacent the front leg. The apparatus also comprises a securing method, such as an adhesive pad, for securing the apparatus to the soffit. The front leg of the apparatus may have a mesh 32 or grill attached to it to form part of a surface which provides a base for rendering to cover the insulation portion. The apparatus is preferably made from plastics polymer material that is formed, extruded or produced by injection moulding. The rear leg may allow additional securing to a wall by including aperture holes for screws or pins or may have a sticky backed tape 30 secured to it.</p> |
