<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of preventing deterioration of jam mainly in a second path.SOLUTION: A multifunction machine 10 comprises: a first path comprising a carrying path 31; and a second path 33 reversed from the carrying path 31. The multifunction machine further comprises a first guide 68 for opening and closing the second path 33. The first guide 68 is suspended from a drive shaft 70, and turns by its own weight. The first guide 68 opens and closes by insertion and extraction of a paper feeding cassette 15. The multifunction machine comprises a detection arm 50 for detecting recording paper passing through the second path 33. The detection arm 50 is provided in a position apart by distance D1 from the drive shaft 70. Distance D2 to a reference face (a virtual plane 76) on which the paper feeding cassette 15 is placed from the drive shaft 70 is longer than the distance D1. When the detection arm 50 does not detect the recording paper, a control part stops carriage of the recording paper when carriage distance of the recording paper in the second path 33 reaches the distance D2.</p> |
