<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge for water purifier that sufficiently exhibits performance of a hollow fiber membrane to improve water quality without cutting or bending the hollow fiber membrane even when the cartridge for water purifier is used under a high tap-water pressure, and a water purifier. <P>SOLUTION: The cartridge for water purifier has an adsorbent on the upstream side, and has a hollow fiber membrane module, formed by filling a hollow fiber membrane bundle into a casing in the form of a U shape and fixing the membrane bundle to the casing with a casting material, on the downstream side of the adsorbent so that the U-shaped bent part of the hollow fiber membrane bundle faces the adsorbent. The adsorbent is cylindrical. A water passage in the adsorbent communicates with the casing.
