<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize connection between current collector plates and electrode protruding parts, to reduce resistance of a capacitor element, and to enhance connection strength. <P>SOLUTION: A capacitor includes: a capacitor element (4) having electrode protruding parts (anode part 14A, cathode part 14B) formed on an element end surface (6); and current collector plates (8A, 8B) having thick parts (projections 32) together with welding connection parts (welding parts 24) welded to the electrode protruding parts and increasing the thermal capacity by the thick parts (projections 32).
