[Also in Group XV] A tray, e.g. a pin, jewellery or ash tray, consists of an ornamental member with a plaster frame and backing cast thereon, the backing having means facilitating the hanging of the tray on a wall, e.g. one or more recesses formed in the backing during casting. The ornamental member may be glass backed with a picture or a piece of fabric, and the frame may be coloured or ornamented by dipping, spraying or printing. As shown, a picture 11 on paper is secured by transparent adhesive to a circular glass sheet 10, and a plaster frame and backing 12 is cast thereon, an undercut recess 13 for co-operation with a nail N being formed by the insertion during casting of a hollow rubber or other removable core.
