A supporting apparatus for medical device comprises a balance mechanism which movably and tiltably maintains a flexible endoscope and balances a weight of the flexible endoscope and a link mechanism part. Further, the supporting part of the flexible endoscope comprises a transparent photo interrupter which detects attachment/detachment of the flexible endoscope, and the supporting apparatus for medical device is provided with a controller which outputs a control signal to switch lock parts to a fixed state, based on a detection signal from the photo interrupter, when the flexible endoscope is detected to be detached from the supporting part by the photo interrupter. |
