A video game controller 100 that comprises a case 102 and at least one command button 118, 120 positioned on an upper face 112 of the controller and extending from a central area towards a side face 108, 110, wherein the button 118, 120 can be actuated by the index finger of a user as they hold the controller 100. The upper buttons 118, 120 comprise actuators 122, 134 that may be in the form of flat elongated flexible members. The actuators 122, 134 can be detachably fixed to the case and include a grip surface. A binary or progressive sensor may be positioned below the actuators 122, 134 in order to detect changes in their position. The controller input device 100 can include further buttons or triggers which may be positioned at the junction between the upper face 112 and a side face 108, 110 of the case 102. |
