The present invention relates to an access management system which stores an access card code and biometric information of a person on a smart access card, and compares the information stored on the smart access card with biometric information detected by a biometric information detection module to verify the person. The access management system comprises: a smart access card (10) provided with biometric information including a unique access card code and a fingerprint or facial information of a person recorded thereon, and wirelessly connected to a card reader module (22); a card reader device (20) having the card reader module (22) wirelessly connected to the smart access card (10) via an NFC antenna (21) to read the biometric information including the access card code and the fingerprint or facial information, a biometric information detection module to detect the biometric information including the fingerprint or facial information of the person, and a control unit (25) to temporarily store the biometric information read from the smart access card (10), then transmit the access card code read from the smart access card (10) to a central server (300) to verify if the access card code is a registered access card code, and compare the temporarily stored biometric information with the biometric information detected by the biometric information detection module to verify the person to lock or unlock an electronic locking device (40); a PoE module (30) to communicate with the card reader device (20) via Ethernet communications and supply power; and the central server (300) to register a new access card code on a database and verify if the access card code received from the card reader device (20) is registered. |
