Ion-exchange material in the form of rods, filaments, beads, pellets or in particulate form comprises polyalkylene material in intimate molecular combination with a polymeric material which is derived from an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, the material containing ionexchange groups. Polyalkylenes specified are polyethylene and polypropylene. Suitable ethylenic monomers, their polymerization and the subsequent introduction therein of ion-exchange groups, if necessary, are described in the parent Specification. |
