The present invention is to provide a centrifugal fan which can suppress noise of a single body, and sonorant of the entire device including the centrifugal fan. A cylindrical impeller in which a plurality of projecting parts stand in an external part of a rotating disk is accommodated in a scroll casing, and covers one end side in an axis direction of a rotation axis by a cover plate in which an opening in a bell mouth form guiding air to the inside of the impeller is formed. Also, the opening is eccentrically arranged in a direction in which the opened center is close to a tongue part (connection part of the small diameter side of the scroll casing and an air blow path) around the rotation axis. Accordingly, a space in which air flow from the opening toward the projecting parts generates turbulence around the tongue part can be reduced than the case that the opening is not eccentrically arranged. As the result, even if an opened surface of the opening is small, sonorant and noise of the single body caused by turbulence due to backwash can be suppressed. |
