A computing system resource recovery method can include identifying a resource manager associated with a computing transaction, classifying the computing transaction to determine a predetermined metric, measuring an actual metric of the computing transaction, comparing the predetermined metric to the actual metric to detect abnormal behavior in the transaction and modeling the abnormal behavior to determine how the resource manager is affected by the abnormal behavior.

identifying, by a processing device, a resource manager associated with a computing transaction; classifying, by the processing device, the computing transaction to determine a predetermined metric, wherein the computing transaction is assigned to a category; measuring, by the processing device, an actual metric of the computing transaction; comparing, by the processing device, the predetermined metric to the actual metric to detect abnormal behavior in the computing transaction; modeling, by the processing device, the abnormal behavior to determine how the resource manager is affected by the abnormal behavior; and constructing, by the processing device, a predictive failure analysis transaction class into which the computing transaction is assigned.
