摘要 A winglet for a rotor blade is disclosed. The winglet may generally include a winglet body extending between a first end and a second end. The winglet body may define a sweep and may have a curvature defined by a curve fit including a first radius of curvature and a second radius of curvature. The sweep between the first end and the second end may range from about 580 millimeters to about 970 millimeters. Additionally, the first radius of curvature may range from about 1500 millimeters to about 2500 millimeters and the second radius of curvature may range from about 1200 millimeters to about 2000 millimeters.

A rotor blade for a wind turbine, comprising: a blade body extending from a blade root towards a blade tip, the blade body defining a spanwise direction: a winglet body extending between a first end defined at an interface between the blade body and the winglet body and a second end defined at the blade tip, the winglet body defining a sweep and having a curvature defined by a curve fit including a first radius of curvature and a second radius of curvature, the sweep at a particular radial location along the winglet body being defined as a distance between a first chord location at the interface and a second chord location at the particular radial location, the first radius of curvature being defined relative to a first reference axis extending parallel to the spanwise direction of the blade body, the second radius of curvature being defined relative to a second reference axis extending perpendicular to the first reference axis, the first chord location being defined at a pre-defined percentage of a chord of the winglet body at the interface, the second chord location being defined at the pre-defined percentage of the chord at the particular radial location, wherein the sweep defined between the first end and the second end ranges from about 580 millimeters to about 970 millimeters, wherein the first radius of curvature ranges from about 1500 millimeters to about 2500 millimeters and the second radius of curvature ranges from about 1200 millimeters to about 2000 millimeters.
