The present invention relates to a method and a system for detecting, tagging and tracking objects by using non-textural information within segmented region of a multimedia. The method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: extracting at least one contour from the segmented region of the multimedia; calculating a histogram for at least one contour extracted from the segmented region of the multimedia; and displaying a shape for at least one contour based on the calculated histogram; tagging a shape name for at least one displayed shape; recognizing a direction change of at least one displayed shape within segmented region of a multimedia; tracking at least one object in a video frame and checking every transformation for at least one tracked object; and restricting at least one transformed object in a series video frame.
