摘要 The present invention relates to a powder metallurgy manufacturing method for a helical gear, wherein a helical gear having a high hardness and improved wear resistance, lubrication characteristics, and corrosion resistance suitable for a low speed, high compressive pressure reduction gear is manufactured by powder metallurgy. The powder metallurgy manufacturing method for a helical gear having a cylindrical shape, transferring a rotational movement between two parallel axes, and having skew teeth comprises: a powder mixing step for mixing iron (Fe) as a main ingredient and other additive materials to form a composite metal powder; a powder shaping step for injecting the metal powder into a mold having cavities that fit the helical gear and applying a pressure on the metal powder for shaping; a powder sintering step for heating compacted metal powder shaped into a helical shape by the mold at a prescribed temperature for a prescribed period of time; and a post processing step for post processing sintered body to yield a finished product. The powder mixing step forms the metal powder comprising additive materials containing 4.5-5.5 wt% of Nickel (Ni), 2.7-3.3 wt% of copper (Cu), 0.7-0.9 wt% of molybdenum (Mo), 0.3-0.5 wt% of manganese (Mn), 0.1-0.3 wt% of silicon (Si), 1.3-1.7 wt% of carbon, and 0.3-0.7 wt% of a lubricant, and the remaining wt% of iron (Fe) as the main ingredient.
