The present invention relates to an apparatus for displaying road guidance information using head-up display and a method thereof. The apparatus includes a head-up display; a camera part to shoot the image of the front side of a car including the car lane; a distance sensor part to detect the distance between the front side or side part barrier and the car; and a control part which displays an adjusted shape as augmented reality on the screen of the head-up display after adjusting the shape of the road guidance carpet including the direction information in the form of the arrow mark or the similar one according to the measured distance by detecting the current inside lane and the object lane by analyzing the information detected from at least one out of the camera part, the distance sensor part, and the devices randomly installed in the car and TBT(turn by turn) information and measuring the distance between the current car and the car running on the object lane in advance. |
