The apparatus (100) has a hollow-body-shaped filter element (4) arranged in housing (1) along backward and forward direction, where flow direction of fluid is passed in first position from an inlet (2) of the housing into interior of the filter element. An outer space (4c) is formed in an outer surface (4m) that is arranged within the housing. The inlet of the housing is arranged in second position by surrounding a circumferential surface of the outer space within the housing and through the outer surface that is arranged in the interior of the element and extended to an outlet (3). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a filter system (2) a method for filtering fluid by using a filtering apparatus.
