The present invention relates to a sensor sensitivity change compensation apparatus of a parking assistance system and a method thereof. Specifically, the present invention relates to a sensor sensitivity change compensation apparatus and a method to operate the parking assistance system by correcting the sensitivity change of the sensor according to the external environment change. The apparatus includes a data management part to store the sensor movement threshold to sense objects near a car and outside temperature; a threshold correction part to correct the measured threshold for the sensor movement considering the outside temperature achieved from the data management part and/or the distance between the sensor and the objects near the car; and a sensor to sense the objects near the car and work according to the threshold reset by the threshold correction part. |
