DISPLAY SUBSTRATE AND A METHOD OF THE SAME

A display substrate according to the present invention includes a gate line which is arranged on a base substrate and is extended in one direction, a data line which crosses the gate line, a thin film transistor which is electrically connected to the gate line and the data line and includes a gate electrode, a semiconductor pattern, a source electrode, and a drain electrode, a pixel electrode which is electrically connected to the thin film transistor, and a light shielding pattern which overlaps the semiconductor pattern and is formed by hazing the same material as the pixel electrode. Therefore, the leakage current of the thin film transistor is reduced by shielding the light inputted to the thin film transistor by forming the light shielding pattern on the thin film transistor. Therefore, a flicker phenomenon and the reduction of a contrast ratio of the display substrate are prevented.
