The present invention relates to a biodegradable flame retardant resin composition and a retardant sheet containing the composition, wherein the composition comprises polylactic acid (PLA) and, with respect to 100 parts by weight of the PLA, comprises, as flame retardants, 15-25 parts by weight of magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2); 25-45 parts by weight of aluminum hydroxide (Al(OH)3); and 5-15 parts by weight of zinc sulfide (ZnS). The resin composition according to the present invention is environmentally-friendly as well as flame-retardant to comply with environmental regulations in relation to retardant materials and enhance the mechanical strength to be applied to various sheets used in buildings which is required to be flame-retardant. |
