The present invention relates to a header pipe for a heat exchanger. The header pipe for a heat exchanger forming a heat exchanger comprises: a plate where a side wall is formed, and where a tube insertion hole is formed; and a cover integrated with a baffle. The cover and the baffle and the plate can closely be installed with each other. The header pipe for a heat exchanger improves productivity of the header pipe for the heat exchanger; and a U-turn type header pipe for a heat exchanger is easily manufactured, with a performance about the same area significantly improved.
