PTERYGIUM ANIMAL MODEL USING HUMAN PTERYGIAL EPITHELIAL CELLS

The present invention relates to an animal model of pterygium which is prepared by injecting the human-derived epithelial pterygium cells separately cultured in vitro to a mouse. More specifically, the human-derived epithelial pterygium cells are separately cultured and successively cultured. The human-derived epithelial pterygium cells having confirmed equality are injected into a subconjunctival spot on the nose of the mouse to provide the animal models showing the symptoms similar to the pterygium only seen in humans. The animal model of pterygium according to the present invention can be used to efficiently screen pterygium treatment drugs.
