The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for preventing decomposition of food waste while being stored, the apparatus comprising: a storage unit storing waste inside a sealed storage container case filled with food waste; salt gel to be contained in the sealed storage device; a mixer efficiently mixing the gel and the food waste; and a power source transmitting the power to the mixer. According to the present invention, a storage apparatus for preventing decomposition of food waste seals bad odor of the food waste stored in the gel, and prevents additional decomposition of the food waste due to strong salts. |
